What we do
Merantix Capital is an early-stage AI investor and venture studio backing ambitious AI founders across Europe.
Our roots lie in the Merantix Venture Studio, where we have been supporting and building AI-native companies since 2016 - from idea validation and co-founder matching to first customers, team building and follow-on financing. Today, we combine this company-building DNA with a dedicated early-stage AI fund, investing in outstanding AI pre-seed companies.
We are part of the Merantix Group, one of Europe’s leading AI platforms, including the AI Campus in Berlin, Merantix Momentum, the AI House Davos and a deep network of founders, engineers, industry partners, investors and AI experts.
Our ambition is to be more than a capital provider: we help founders validate ideas, build teams, access customers, refine their product and go-to-market strategy, and scale AI companies from day one.
Your role
We are looking for an exceptional individual to own how Merantix Capital is perceived in the world - across brand, content, communications, community and events.
This is an entrepreneurial, high-ownership role. You will define our voice, sharpen our positioning in Europe's AI ecosystem, run our brand and marketing channels, and turn Merantix Capital and our Merantix ecosystem into the most renowned brand for AI founders in Europe.
The best candidates have started a company, run a media product, built a community from zero, or shipped content as an operator. You think about impact, leverage and audience, not press releases.
Your responsibilities will include:
Brand & positioning: Sharpen and own how Merantix Capital is perceived by founders, engineers, LPs, co-investors and corporate partners. Translate our venture studio and early-stage fund model into a clear, differentiated narrative.
Owned content & channels: Run our website, blog, newsletter, LinkedIn, and any new channels you choose to launch. Set the calendar, and ship content consistently.
Founder storytelling: Work directly with our investment team and portfolio founders to shape the stories worth telling (investments, portfolio milestones, technical deep dives etc.)
Community & ecosystem: Treat our ecosystem as a single audience and work with this ecosystem to build the formats and touchpoints that keep top AI talent in our orbit and shape our positioning.
Events: Own our event presence end-to-end, from intimate founder or LP dinners and technical sessions on the AI Campus to major industry events. Decide what we show up for, what we host, and what we skip.
PR & external comms: Run our relationships with journalists and industry voices, supported by external partners where it makes sense. Make sure our fund and portfolio news stand out.
Your profile
Required:
Proven ability to build something where distribution, audience or brand was core to the work. This could be as a founder, early operator, content creator, community builder, journalist-turned-builder, or marketing lead at an early-stage startup
Demonstrable track record of having built an audience, a community or a brand, with concrete achievements you can point to
Excellent writer in English and German: You can produce sharp, opinionated content fast
Genuine fluency in and passion for the AI and European tech ecosystems: You already follow the right founders, funds, researchers and publications, and have a view on where the conversation is going
Strong plus:
Founder or co-founder experience, including ventures that did not succeed
Experience running event programmes or building physical communities
Personal profile:
Builder: You rather ship something imperfect today than circulate a strategy deck for weeks.
High tolerance for context switching: You can write a thesis piece in the morning, brief a journalist at lunch, and run an event on the AI Campus that evening
Strong opinions, weakly held: You have a clear point of view on what good looks like, and you update it when the evidence changes
Low ego: You are successful when our founders, our fund and our ecosystem are visible and respected
What we offer
A high-ownership role at the intersection of brand, community and AI venture building and investing, with direct exposure to our investment team, portfolio founders and the broader Merantix ecosystem. You will set the strategy, you will execute it, and you will see the results in how founders, LPs and the wider AI ecosystem talk about Merantix Capital.
You will work from the AI Campus in Berlin, alongside the Merantix Group, our portfolio companies and one of the densest AI talent ecosystems in Europe.
