The venture that you will be working for is part of the world’s first AI Venture Studio, Merantix. We are seeking exceptional entrepreneurial minds that have the ambition to make an impact in health. As the CTO, you will be working side by side with the founder to help build the venture from the ground up.

Key responsibilities:

• Promoting engineering and software excellence.

• Designing, implementing, and evaluating product prototypes.

• Designing, implementing, and evaluating ML/AI algorithms.

• Creating high quality code with a focus on readability, speed, scale, and reliability.

• Hiring, leading and managing a team of product engineers.

• Creating and presenting reports on product status and progress.

• Building product quality assurance and data protection processes.

• Using user feedback to guide improvements and modifications to the product.

• Communicating product strategy to team, partners and investors.

• Building resilient and reliable systems, and teams.

You are a curious, scientifically-minded, highly motivated individual with experience in building products and leading engineering teams in an early-stage start-up.

• You have a MSc or PhD in Computer Science or related field (Physics or Maths).

• You have proven strong knowledge of algorithm design and statistics.

• You have 3+ years of experience in designing and managing products.

• You have 3+ years of experience in full-stack & AI/ML development.

• You have proven understanding of product budget and planning.

• You have previous experience in leading and managing product at an early stage start-up.

• You are passionate about using technology to drive a positive impact in health.

• You are curious, highly motivated, and passionate about entrepreneurship.

• You have superb communication (verbal and written English; German would be a plus) and interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.

• You have strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize appropriately and effectively.

• You have previous start-up founder experience.
