About this position

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Data Analyst looking to join us at GLS/NXT to lead the development, implementation, delivery, and improvement of the insights that allow us to make business decisions across our ventures and realize the value of our data. As a part of the data team, you will contribute to a variety of projects that touch all aspects of our organization; from marketing to product analytics, from financial data to customer data (not all at the same time). You will work alongside a data product manager and data engineer, and collaborate across functions to develop KPIs, deliver dashboards, reports and analysis to achieve our goals. It’s going to be fun!

Your responsibilities

• Work with data engineers and product managers to build reporting structures allowing for monitoring, performance measurement and analyses of our initiatives
• Design and develop LookML models, dashboards and workflows in Looker, implementing best practices for LookML code and data model design
• Contribute to the development of KPIs
• Drive data culture in our ventures through your work

What you need to be successful

Background

• 3+ years of data analysis experience and a track record of transforming data into actionable insights
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with either Python or R for data wrangling and analysis as well as a good understanding of statistics
• Highly proficient in SQL and an advanced proficiency in LookML
• Experience building data products incrementally and integrating and managing datasets from multiple sources

• You love to enable people with data and insights and have a talent for building strong professional relationships
• Data visualization best practices are not new to you and you are able to present your work to a non-technical audience
