Deltia is growing fast, and we need someone to own the operational backbone that makes that possible. As our People Operations Manager, you'll work directly with the founders and our Talent & People Manager to scale our team from ~30 to 100+ people over the next two years. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role at the intersection of compliance, process design, and employee experience.
What you'll own
Employment & legal: End-to-end management of employment contracts, work permits, and visa processes in Germany and internationally, including EOR arrangements
Payroll: Running and overseeing monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance across entities
Benefits: Managing our existing benefits stack and proactively identifying, proposing, and implementing new offerings as we scale
Team culture: Planning and coordinating team events and off-sites, both locally and abroad
Office operations: Acting as the point of contact for our coworking space and handling day-to-day operational needs
HR processes & compliance: Designing, documenting, and improving people processes as we grow, with a strong eye on German labor law and cross-border compliance topics
Room to grow
Depending on your interests and background, there's space to own more:
Onboarding & offboarding: Design and iterate the full employee lifecycle experience as we scale
HRIS & tooling: Own the evaluation and rollout of our HR system of record
People analytics: Build lightweight reporting on headcount, attrition, and hiring velocity to support decision-making
Learning & development: Lay the groundwork for how Deltia invests in its people as the team matures
What we're looking for
2-4 years in People Ops, HR, or a closely related role, ideally in a fast-growing startup
Solid understanding of German employment law; experience with international hiring or EORs is a plus
Structured, hands-on, and comfortable operating with limited oversight
Fluent in English; German is a strong plus
