About the Company:

CertifAI is on a mission to make reliable AI applications the standard around the globe. Our team builds AI assessment methodology and tooling for customers across different industries to make sure their AI products are fair, compliant o existing laws, and aligned with human rights. Backed by two of theworld’s most trusted companies, Dekra and PwC, we are looking to expand our tech and product team to help automate and shape the standard of AI certification for trustworthy & aligned AI implementation.

About the Role:

You will join a new product and tech team, where you'll have the opportunity to gain invaluable experience in the foundational stages of growing a small business. You'll be instrumental in building the company's infrastructure and technological foundation, exposing you to a wide range of possible responsibilities.

As a Backend Developer/Engineer you will own the design, implementation, and maintenance of our product suite backend services. We are in the beginning stages of our building journey, and you will have a lot of freedom to be creative and take responsibility as one of the first members of our team. We are looking for someone with experience with building long-lasting, reliable, and secure backends that will form the foundation of our product offerings.

Location:

You'll be working at the Merantix AI Campus in Berlin, the hub for all major AI companies in the city, providing unparalleled networking opportunities. Remote work is possible, but Berlin-based applications are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Development: Assisting in ideation, design and implementation of our core product suite and tech stack.

• Business Operations: Contributing to Product and Tech team operational and development processes.

• AI Testing: Support implementing targeted AI tests for our customers during AI audits and assessments.

What We're Looking For:

• Degree in Computer Science or related field (Physics, Math, Data Science, Electrical Eng…)

• Motivated engineer eager to learn and grow in a dynamic startup environment.

• Cloud development experience is a must, experience with Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Python, git-based workflows preferred, but can also be learned on the job.

• Team players with a strong sense of initiative and with a desire to help build a good company culture.

• Knowledge and interest in Machine Learning and AI is a big advantage.
