Senior Software Engineer – DevOps

Position Overview
Autodesk is looking for a Senior Software Engineer – DevOps to join our Fusion Factory team in Krakow.
You will play a key role in building and operating cloud-based solutions that connect manufacturing systems to the shop floor. This is a hands-on DevOps role with strong ownership across infrastructure, deployment, and system reliability.
You will work closely with a small, experienced team (2 engineers) and collaborate with colleagues across Europe. The role requires strong autonomy, a proactive mindset, and the ability to operate in a production-critical environment.

Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment systems
Own and improve cloud infrastructure and system reliability
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across dev, test, and production environments
Implement best practices for scalability, security, and performance
Automate infrastructure and operational processes
Collaborate with engineering teams to improve development and deployment workflows
Contribute to event-driven architecture and distributed systems design
Mentor and support junior engineers
Participate in an on-call rotation (approximately every 5 weeks on week-ends)
Minimum Qualifications
6+ years of experience in software engineering / DevOps / SRE roles
Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar)
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar)
Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar)
Experience with Docker and containerized environments
Solid understanding of distributed systems and system reliability
Experience working in production environments
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across distributed teams (Europe)
Fluent in English
Nice to Have
Experience with Kubernetes
Exposure to event-driven architectures
Experience in manufacturing / IoT / industrial systems
Familiarity with Autodesk ecosystem or CAD tools
AWS certifications (DevOps Engineer / Solutions Architect)
Additional Expectations
Comfortable working with teams across multiple European locations
Participation in on-call rotation every ~5 weeks
Proactive mindset and ability to work with a high level of ownership
