We seek a Senior Software Development Engineer to join our Fabrication team, contributing to the development of Autodesk Fabrication products CAMduct, CADmep and ESTmep. Our software supports end-to-end fabrication workflows, enabling professionals to design, estimate, and manufacture real-world building systems.

You will work with the product owner, QA, and other software engineers to develop and maintain existing software. As a Senior Engineer on the team, you will be highly involved in the software architecture, evaluating implementations, and code reviews. You will report to the Software Development Manager.

The position is based in our Krakow office, employing a hybrid working model.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain new capabilities and improve existing codebases.

  • Influence the architectural direction of the project. Apply good architectural practices including design patterns and object-oriented programming concepts.

  • Participate in estimating, breaking down tasks, and ensuring timely delivery of assigned work.

  • Ensure code quality through peer code reviews, unit testing, and supporting broader UI/API regression coverage.

  • Collaborate with QA and other engineers to design and implement effective testing approaches.

  • Work closely with Product Owner and Tech Lead to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

  • Document and clearly communicate technical designs, implementation details, and solutions within the team.

  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders across locations to resolve technical issues, manage dependencies, and support project execution.

  • Contribute to improving engineering practices, code quality, and team efficiency.

  • Support technical discussions and contribute ideas toward tools, standards, and engineering improvements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Architecture or related subject area.

  • 5+ years’ experience in C++ and .NET/C# programming.

  • Excellent debugging, Code Stability and refactoring skills

  • Ability to work effectively within a highly collaborative distributed team

  • Excellent problem-solving, computer algorithms, and reasoning skills.

  • Good teamwork spirit in a dynamic environment.

  • Experience in fast-paced product delivery and agile practices.

  • Fluent English with clear and efficient communication.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with 3d graphics algorithms and programming

  • Experience with GIT or a similar source code revision control system.

  • Knowledge of the AEC domain, AEC related product experience.
