🌟 The mission

Arqh is building the AI dispatcher for road logistics — a route optimizer (MILP, CP, heuristics) fused with LLM agents that handle the communication and coordination around every plan. The hard part isn't only the math; it's making an optimized decision a skeptical dispatcher will actually trust, and closing the loop on the calls, changes, and exceptions that eat two-thirds of their day. Zurich-based, ETH-founded, backed by Founderful & Merantix, and doing already doing this with DACH fleets on the road right now.

🧠 The role

Join as a Senior Platform Engineer (Remote, EU) and own the infrastructure and services that power our product; Kubernetes, microservices, CI/CD, data stores, while staying hands-on across the full stack, including our Python services and React/TypeScript frontend. You'll turn complex planning & routing algorithms into systems that are fast, reliable, and easy to operate.

This is a platform-first, full-stack-capable role: your center of gravity is Kubernetes, microservices, and CI/CD, but you're also comfortable working down into a Python service or up into the React app when a feature needs it end-to-end.

🔍 What you'll do

  • Design, deploy, and operate our microservices architecture on Kubernetes — deployments, services, ingress, autoscaling, secrets, config, and rollout/rollback strategy.

  • Own CI/CD end-to-end: build pipelines, automated testing gates, progressive delivery, and deployment automation across services.

  • Define and enforce platform standards: observability, logging, monitoring, alerting, and incident response across a distributed system.

  • Work across MongoDB / Cosmos DB / SQL to model, query, and optimize real workloads.

  • Use pub-sub / event-driven patterns for real-time dashboards and system visibility across services.

  • Leverage Redis for caching, queues, pipelines, and low-latency coordination between services.

  • Ship full-stack features when needed: APIs, data models, and the React/TypeScript UI on top of them.

  • Collaborate with product, ops, and customers to turn workflows into robust, observable systems.

✅ Must-have skills

  • 5–10 years of experience shipping and operating production systems, with platform/infrastructure ownership as a core part of the role (not a side responsibility).

  • Deep, hands-on Kubernetes experience: designing, deploying, scaling, and debugging real workloads in production, not just "familiarity with concepts."

  • Strong CI/CD ownership: designing pipelines, automated testing/quality gates, and deployment automation (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Helm, or equivalent).

  • Solid experience with microservices architecture: service boundaries, inter-service communication, versioning, and failure isolation.

  • Docker & Docker Compose for local dev, CI, and production images.

  • Solid backend experience in Python (APIs, services, data layer).

  • Working React + TypeScript proficiency — enough to ship or debug a full-stack feature independently.

  • Solid database experience:

    • MongoDB / Cosmos (NoSQL)

    • SQL (schemas, joins, migrations, performance basics)

  • Experience with pub-sub / messaging (Kafka, SNS/SQS, Service Bus, Pub/Sub, etc.).

  • Working knowledge of Redis (caching, sessions, queues, pipelines).

  • Strong engineering foundations: testing, code review, monitoring, logging.

  • Comfortable in a high-ownership, low-ego environment.

  • Fluent and advanced English.

  • Based in the EU or able to work full-time aligned with EU time zones.

⭐ Nice to have (not required)

  • Exposure to LangChain / LangGraph / Langfuse, or agentic/LLM workflow systems more generally (workflow builders, orchestration, evals, tracing) — a bonus, not a requirement.

  • Experience with service mesh tooling (Istio, Linkerd), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi), or GitOps workflows.

  • Experience in remote-first or async-oriented teams.

👩‍💻 How we work

  • Pragmatic engineering: simple first, measurable improvements always.

  • Tight feedback loops with customers and ops, you see the impact fast.

  • Small team, high ownership, high trust, you shape the stack and standards, from the UI down to the cluster.

  • Remote-first in Europe, with core hours around CET.

🚀 What we offer

  • High-ownership and impact environment: shape the product and platform foundations of a fast-growing company.

  • World-class team: work directly with founders and researchers.

  • Fully remote within the EU, plus support for your home office / co-working setup.

  • Competitive compensation.

If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you! CV and cover letter are required; certificates, GitHub portfolio, and recommendation letters are highly beneficial.
